Know these cold

  1. Linux commands: ls (list), cd (change dir), pwd (current dir), chmod (permissions), apt/dnf (package install), grep (search text), top/htop (processes).
  2. Linux permissions: rwxrwxrwx = owner/group/others. chmod 755 = rwxr-xr-x. chown changes ownership.
  3. macOS: APFS filesystem, Terminal with zsh, Homebrew package manager, System Preferences → System Settings.
